Telefonica ended 2Q08 with 576,558 IPTV customers, and increase of 22.6 thousand over the quarter. This was an increase of 28 percent year over year.
Telefonica's O2 operation in the Czech Republic ended 2Q08 with 97.9 thousand IPTV subscribers, an increase of 12.7 thousand in the quarter.
Telefonica's IPTV services are growing at a modest rate compared to the other services in Europe. It seems that the company is not putting its priority in this area.
